Thornmere District Council has approved plans for a new leisure centre on the site of the former bus depot on Mill Lane. The development will include a swimming pool, gym, and community hall, with work expected to begin next year.

The project forms part of the council’s wider strategy to improve health and leisure facilities across the district.
